To be on track with this project, by today you should:
( ) organize all of your assests
( ) "frame-in" your site by creating and linking all of the necessary HTML files. (These should be simple placeholder pages like you have done for all of your assignments and class index page.) At this point, these pages should NOT contain any design or content! Each page should only include:
-
a page title (in the file's <title> tag),
-
text links connecting it to any other pages as described by you site map,
- a brief (1-sentence) description of what will be on the page. This can be takes directly from the page descriptions you wrote for a05
( ) create a mock-up of what your pages will look like. This can be done on paper or in Illustrator or Photoshop.

For Mon (4/13)
( ) create all files and complete all HTML coding for Assignment 01
( ) remember to use this doctype definition to open the <html> and <head> tags in every file.
( ) email me your URL. This must be sent from your OLS email address.
With the exception of uploading the files, Assignment 01 must be complete by the beginning of class on Monday. I will cover the uploading process first thing in-class on Monday, but you will only be given enough time to upload the files. There will not be any time to work on the assignment
If you are feeling inclined to do some research into more HTML than we are covering in class, please read this Bad Tags article first. It answers a lot of those questions like "Why should I be using <em> instead of <i>?" Many online references are out-of-date, and may present HTML that is incorrect for this class.
I recommend the W3 Schools reference linked-to on the class page.
For Wed (4/8)

Generate one 8.5 x 11 page (or equivalent) showing ~20 thumbnails and visual concepts. This could show a couple of separate ideas, but must exhibit some evidence of the evolution of the ideas. You must also choose one design from each style as the "winner" and clean it up (finalize it). Display this one next to the process thumbnails. You will turn this in digitally, as one Illustrator file for each style, on the Drop Off drive.
